Loan favors for lawmakers, chaplains kept quiet on DADT, economic news

The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee has issued a report saying that lawmakers from both parities and other public officials received special loan deals from Countrywide Financial. Military chaplains have been told to not speak publicly about any opposition to the rescending of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell." In business news, U.S. private employers increased hiring in June, while Americans filing new claims for jobless benefits fell.
